- Because the surface of full-grain leather retains the natural texture of the animal skin, it is inevitable that there will be some naturally occurring scars.
- The surface of full-grain leather has natural wrinkles and blood streaks, etc. However, even the best leather will inevitably have knife marks and scars from processing. Additionally, the thickness of different parts of a piece of leather is uneven, especially around the neck and belly, where the leather tends to be looser and have more wrinkles.
- Due to the different positions of the leather, and the different growth environments of the animals, the density of the leather's fibers will vary, and the degree of firmness and elasticity will also differ.
- Natural wrinkles, textures, and slight scars are normal characteristics of full-grain leather.

Therefore, coloring may be slightly darker/lighter depending on the hide. Since full-grain leather is the outermost layer of the hide, you will find subtle imperfections in the leather. No. Scratches, marks, fading of the buckle finish, or natural patina are part of the normal aging process of real leather.
Not at all.All full-grain leather belts will naturally curve and mold to your body over time. This is expected and actually improves comfort. It’s not a defect, so it’s not a warranty issue.
Buckles and screws are covered under warranty. Since these are user-replaceable parts, we’ll send replacements at no charge. If screws repeatedly loosen, we recommend applying a drop of clear nail polish on the threads to keep them secure. Cosmetic wear on buckles is not covered.
Unfortunately, no. Full-grain leather is durable but not meant for prolonged damp storage.Water damage or mold voids the warranty.
A: Yes. Whether you bought it for yourself or someone else, the belt is covered for 10 years from the date of purchase.
Congratulations if you’ve lost weight — but no, the warranty covers only the original size purchased.

Size
For the best fit we suggest you measure a belt you already wear. Please measure from where the buckle loops over the belt buckle to the hole you wear the belt in. If you get an odd number then you would round up to the next size.
If you do not have a belt to measure, then we suggest you order 2 sizes up from your pant size. See the detailed size guide here
Most of our belts go up to size 46. This is because sizes larger than 46 require a special cut of hide. We can order that hide and make larger sizes which typically takes 10-14 days.

Leather
Some of our products are handmade at our workshop using old school tools, techniques and machinery. Some are made by machine.
We use two kinds of full grain leather - cow hide and alligatro skin. All belts and wallets are cow hide unless otherwise stated. BELTLEY is committed to being eco-friendly and as such only makes leather products from bi-products of the food industry. The leather is tanned by the process of vegetable tanning.
Full Grain leather is the strongest and most durable leather. It has slight imperfections that give it character and you can feel and see a grain to it. It also lasts longer and is resistant to wear and tear. PU leather is generally absent of any imperfections and has a smooth consistent look. It is common in bonded leather belts and which hardly last 3-6 months. If you're looking for leather goods that last, stay away from PU. Genuine leather is a marketing term. If a product contains at least 30% leather, it can be marketed as genuine leather. You never know what you will get with it. It may be full grain or it may be bonded leather. If you're looking for high quality leather that lasts, stick to full grain.
Some slight dye transfer can occur when new or if the belts get wet on some of our styles. This is rare and again the most common cause of this is if your belt gets excessively wet.
This will generally come out in washing the clothes. In some instances though if left unwashed for an extended period of time the dye may set.
Yes! This is a very common, natural process that occurs with real full grain leather. With time and use, your leather will break in; the oils will cause the leather to slightly darken and “age” creating a beautiful finish that is entirely unique to your product.
Leather is one of the most durable natural materials in the world. Therefore initial treatment isn’t necessary. However, we highly recommend avoiding exposure to moisture, as water is the enemy to leather and will cause the leather to break down and weaken over time. A little water won’t hurt, however throwing your wallet in the washing machine or consistently wearing your bracelet in the shower will diminish the life of your product.
