Warranty

10 Year Warranty

BELTLEY Leather Goods are made from the finest full grain leathers, never processed or bonded leather and all belts are well Made! This results in a strong belt that will never crack apart, break, or stretch excessively.

And in the unlikely event that one ever does, we’ll stand behind it and replace it with your original size, no questions asked.

Why BELTLEY Offers a 10-Year Warranty (Not a Lifetime One or 100 years warranty)?

1. Honest & Realistic Guarantee
Unlike “lifetime” warranties that sound good in marketing but often come with hidden fine print, BELTLEY gives you a clear, genuine 10-year promise you can count on — no gimmicks, no tricks.

2. Designed Around Real Use
A belt is a daily-use item that goes through constant bending, pulling, and wear. Even the strongest full-grain leather has a natural life cycle. BELTLEY’s 10-year warranty is based on authentic, everyday performance, not an unrealistic forever promise.

3. Confidence Without Overpromising
We believe in our craftsmanship so much that we guarantee it for a full decade. That’s longer than most customers will even keep a single belt(On average, most customers keep and regularly wear a leather belt for 3 to 5 years before replacing it — mainly because of wear, stretching, or style changes.) — and it shows we’re confident, but also honest about the realities of natural materials.

4. Focus on Quality, Not Marketing Tricks
Other brands use “100 years” or “lifetime” claims mostly for marketing. BELTLEY prefers to invest in better leather, stronger stitching, and premium buckles rather than making exaggerated guarantees.

5. A Brand That Stands By You, Not Just Today
We’d rather promise you a strong, reliable, stylish belt for 10 years — and then earn your trust again when you’re ready for your next one — than make empty promises no brand can truly keep.

BELTLEY Warranty FAQ

Q: How do I know BELTLEY will be around for the long run?A: BELTLEY was founded with a commitment to premium craftsmanship and lasting quality. We’re not a fast-fashion brand — we build products to last, and we plan to be here for many more years serving our customers.

Q: What does the warranty cover?
A: Our warranty covers product materials and construction under normal wear and intended use. BELTLEY belts are made for everyday wear and for holding pants securely. Damage from accidents, misuse (like using the belt as a tow strap), chemical spills, animal chewing, or water damage is not covered.

Q: What happens if my belt is no longer available?
A: If your belt has been discontinued, we’ll either issue a full refund or credit you toward another BELTLEY style of your choice.

Q: Is excessive stretching covered?
A: Yes, if it occurs under normal use and with the proper belt for your needs. We consider “excessive” anything over 1.5 inches. Some stretching of holes (up to 3/8") is completely normal for leather. Stretching due to water damage or improper use is not covered.

Q: My belt started to curve. Is that a defect?
A: Not at all. All full-grain leather belts will naturally curve and mold to your body over time. This is expected and actually improves comfort. It’s not a defect, so it’s not a warranty issue.

Q: What if my buckle breaks or a screw comes loose?
A: Buckles and screws are covered under warranty. Since these are user-replaceable parts, we’ll send replacements at no charge. If screws repeatedly loosen, we recommend applying a drop of clear nail polish on the threads to keep them secure. Cosmetic wear on buckles is not covered.

Q: I stored my belt in a damp basement and it got moldy. Is it covered?
A: Unfortunately, no. Full-grain leather is durable but not meant for prolonged damp storage. Water damage or mold voids the warranty.

Q: Is the warranty transferable if I pass the belt down?
A: Yes! As long as we have the original purchaser’s name and address, the warranty is valid for the original size purchased.

Q: Are gift orders covered by the warranty?
A: Yes. Whether you bought it for yourself or someone else, the belt is covered for 10 years from the date of purchase.

Q: Does the warranty cover weight loss or gain?
A: Congratulations if you’ve lost weight — but no, the warranty covers only the original size purchased.

Q: What if I punch extra holes in my belt?
A: On non-reinforced belts, extra holes are fine as long as they’re spaced at least ¾" apart from existing holes. On reinforced belts (steel core, Kydex), punching through the core voids the warranty.

Q: Are belt buckles covered?
A: Yes, buckles are covered for breakage or failure. Cosmetic wear, like plating or finish fading over time, is not covered.

Q: Are plastic parts on wallets covered?
A: No, plastic ID windows or linings are not covered, as they naturally wear out over time. For maximum durability, we recommend our wallets without plastic or lining.

Q: I cut my belt too short by mistake. Is that covered?
A: Sorry — alterations made by the customer (like trimming too much) are not covered under warranty.

Q: Does the warranty cover normal wear and tear?
A: No. Scratches, marks, fading of the buckle finish, or natural patina are part of the normal aging process of real leather.

Q: Do I need to return my old belt to get a replacement?
A: In most cases, yes. We may ask you to return the defective belt so we can inspect it. For certain claims, we may request photos instead.

Q: Does the warranty cover sizing issues?
A: No. Warranty covers defects, not incorrect size selection. Please check our size guide before ordering.

Q: Do all BELTLEY products have a 10-year warranty?
A: Our full-grain leather belts are covered by our 10-year warranty. Other accessories, like wallets or limited-time designs, may carry different warranty terms (see product page for details).

Q: If my belt cracks, will you repair or replace it?
A: We will replace your belt with the same model and size (or closest available) at no cost. Repairs may be offered in special cases, but replacement is our standard policy.

Q: How long does a warranty claim take?
A: Most claims are resolved within 7–10 business days once we receive your request and proof of purchase.

Q: Do I have to pay for shipping when making a claim?
A: We cover outbound shipping for the replacement. Depending on your location, you may be responsible for sending the defective belt back to us.

Q: Is color fading covered?
A: No. Over time, real leather develops a patina — this is a sign of authenticity, not a defect. Slight fading or darkening from oils, sunlight, or use is normal.

Q: Are scratches or scuffs covered?
A: No. Leather naturally shows marks and scratches over time. This adds to the unique character of your belt.

Q: What if my belt gets wet in the rain?
A: Occasional rain or moisture won’t harm your belt. However, repeated soaking, submersion, or improper drying may damage the leather and void the warranty.

Q: Do you warranty belts used for work gear or holsters?
A: Yes — as long as you choose the correct belt for the intended use. If your job or gear requires extra support, we may recommend upgrading to a heavier-duty model.

Q: If I buy from a reseller, is the warranty still valid?
A: Yes, as long as the reseller is an authorized BELTLEY retailer. Warranty does not apply to counterfeit or unauthorized sales.

Q: Is the warranty valid internationally?
A: Absolutely. Our warranty covers all BELTLEY belts worldwide, though shipping policies may vary by region.

Q: Can I upgrade to a different style when filing a claim?
A: Yes, if your belt is discontinued or you’d prefer a different model, we’ll apply a credit equal to the original purchase price toward your new choice.

Q: What happens after the 10 years are up?
A: Even after the warranty period, many BELTLEY belts are still going strong. While they’re no longer covered, we often provide loyal customers with exclusive discounts on their next purchase.

Q: How do I file a warranty claim?
A: Simply email us at help@beltley.com with your order details, a photo of the issue, and we’ll take care of the rest.
